YouTube Rolls Out Updates To Video Editor, Video Manager & Browse Page
It’s been just over a month since YouTube launched their major site redesign, but it looks like they’re not done yet! Today they’ve announced updates to the Browse page, Video Editor and Video Manager. Read on to find out what’s new.
Browse
The YouTube Browse page is your home for discovering the most viewed videos and channels across a variety of categories. The new browse page makes discovering new content easier than ever. They’ve got top lists like ‘Most Viewed Today,’ as well as top content listed by category, including Entertainment, Comedy, Pets & Animals, Science & Technology and more.
Video Editor
What’s new in the YouTube Video Editor? Users will notice that the look of the editor has been re-done and that it now includes a new timeline, a moving playhead, and easier clip trimming. It still boasts the same great features. Want to learn more? Check out our guide to the new YouTube Video Editor, which we published back in September when YouTube gave the editor a major overhaul.
Video Manager
YouTube updated the Video Manager back in December and have now added new features and improvements based on user feedback. The Video Manager got a visual update, but they’ve also added new features including search history, and improved display of claimed videos and scheduled updates. They also brought back “likes and dislikes” statistics, an old feature that they removed in the last update, as well as the option to sort videos according to popularity.
The Brose page and Video Editor updates should be available today and, according to the YouTube blog, the new Video Manager will be rolling out over the next few days.
